About Round Table Music Education
Round Table Recording is built on the conviction that recording is more than a way to capture magic musical moments. It is a powerful tool to help musicians achieve peak performance and provides a focus for powerful goal setting and reflection processes in the rehearsal room. Recording before the final performance can facilitate the immediate implementation of objective and expert feedback.
Recording is the only way to perform without an audience, to allow musicians to hear what the audience hears and to make performance permanent.
Round Table Recording was founded by Derek Barg – conductor, educator, producer and composer. Derek has been teaching instrumental music for 30 years and has simultaneously been involved in recording. It was a natural step to integrate recording into the teaching processes. It quickly became apparent that using recording with structured processes creates a flexible and powerful project cycle.
